Disneyland Attraction Reveiw: Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

Show: Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
Number of times I've seen it: One

Mr. Lincoln is the first show/ride you see when you enter Disneyland, and was the first thing I wanted to go see when I didn't know what it was (because if you know me, you know I love politics).

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is a show where you're in a theater and watch a documentary film on Lincoln's life. Then the theater screen moves up, the curtain open, and you see a robot of Abraham Lincoln. The robot is so realistic that I have to show you a picture of it.

See what I mean? Anyway, Lincoln tells us a speech and then sits down. It's very cool, and I think they should have all of the robots in Disneyland look like this. I mean, it actually looks like him! If you love Lincoln's work, (like me (: ), then you have to go to this.

Disneyland Attraction Reveiw: Haunted Mansion

Ride: Haunted Mansion
Number of times I've ridden it: At least three

The Haunted Mansion, like Pirates of the Caribbean, was the ride that we did when we had nothing else to do. Besides, it's a fun one to do over and over and over and...

The Haunted Mansion is a classic ride where you explore a mansion with ghosts and floating object moving around you as you're riding a slow moving comfy chair. The Haunted Mansion isn't really scary. It's actually pretty cool, because it uses holographic technology to make it look like ghosts are dancing in a dining room and then disappear. They also use optical illusions to make it look like statues are moving, projectors to make it look like when ever you look in a mirror a ghost in your cart, and great special effects to make it look like a talking head is floating! There's also an introduction that we think may be scarier than the ride it self (not that much scarier though). The whole ride is not that scary. My sister and brother (who are kids) were laughing through it! But if you are truly scarred of anything, then you may consider not going.

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: Grizzly River Run (GRR)

Ride: GRR
Number of times I've ridden it: Four

Note: This is one of the rides I call "The Five Dancing Rides"(which I love them) The reason why they are called that is because you do sharp turns and sudden drops. If you try doing it you're self, it looks like you're dancing. Just had to bring that out because otherwise if you have not read the other 4 dancing ride reveiws, then this review would make no sense.

The GRR is the wettest Dancing Ride I went on. It's also the only one in California Adventure. But of course, if it's a Dancing Ride, then I would love it. It's basically the Indiana Jones Adventure except you're outside with no robots. You are also right next to the famous bear mountain. It has two drops that you get really wet after you go down them, so don't bring you're camera or anything. And you go down this rapid river with a bumpy ride! So if you like "Dancing Rides" than you will enjoy this variation of water bouncing. But if you hate drops, don't ride it. I really liked this ride. In matter of fact, we did this ride in the middle of the night, and we were soaking with the cold weather. But the line was really short, so we were like,"What the hey! Let's do again!" But you would probably suspect me saying that when I'm on a Dancing Ride.

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: Soarin' Over California

Ride: Soarin' Over California
Number of times I've ridden it: Two

Get a Fast Pass for it. Get in the front row. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Soarin' Over California is a simulator ride where you it feels like you're flying over famous landmarks in California. First off, it has the person who plays Kronk in The Emperor's New Groove, which is cool. You get in a comfy bench which raises up in the air a couple of feet if front of a huge theater screen. Then it plays videos of an airplane view. It will push a up a little and blow air in you're face. It's very relaxing and it's really cool. If you did the "Star Trek Experience" before, then this will not freak you out. It's actually more calmer than STE. It's a very cool simulator and I would recommend it to everybody!
P.S. Except for people who are afraid of heights. Even though it's not in 3D, it's a concave shape theater which gives it a feel of depth.

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: Toy Story Midway Mania!

Ride: Toy Story Midway Mania!
Number of times I've ridden it: Two

Wow, this ride beats Astro Blasters by a long shot. By a 30 mile long shot.

Toy Story Midway Mania is a ride in which you shoot targets, plates, and other things using technology to make it look like you're really shooting the screen. And the 4-D really adds to the effect. I loved it so much that I did it again. It is a shooting range to the extreme. What's cool about it is that it has 5 different games in one. It's also kind of a jerky ride because you're doing sudden sharp turns as you're spinning around, so it's kind of wild. You are in this chair with these cannons attached to it. When you pull the trigger, the censor will make it look like you're actully shooting the screen. And the 4-D really adds to the effect. Me, a person who loves the Toy Story Trilogy, really liked this ride.

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: It's Tough to be a Bug!

Show: It's Tough to be a Bug!
Number of times I've watched it: One

I was going to It's Tough to be a Bug! thinking it would just be a 3D movie. But I got more than I was expected...

It's Tough to be a Bug! is a 4-D show on A Bug's Life. It's a show talking about different bugs. But it's super cool. When bugs spray acid at you, a stream of water actually sprays you! When bees start stinging people, a little pole in the back of the chair hits you lightly. When all the rats leave the theater, you can feel rat shaped thing running under you're seat. And when the stinkbug sprays, well, you get the idea. It's quite the 4-D adventure and I would recommend it to any body who likes 4-D or Z-D movies. However, if you have a fear of bugs or especially spiders (because a bunch of black widows come from the ceiling pretty close to you're face) then you should not go. Otherwise, a great movie!

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: Turtle Talk with Crush

Show: Turtle Talk with Crush
Number of times I've watched it: One

Turtle Talk with Crush was more of an puzzle for me than a show, because I was figuring out, "How the heck do they do this?" and then I looked it up on Wikipedia, and now I understand.

Turtle Talk with Crush is an interactive show where kids can ask Crush (from Finding Nemo) anything! I read on Wikipedia that a actor with motion thingys on his head is making it look like it's Crush. It's the same technology used in Lord of the Rings. But enough on how it done, let's talk about how is the show! The show is pretty funny and I laughed through it quite a bit. I recommend it to everybody who want a good laugh!

Overall Rating: 9/10

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: MuppetVision 3D

Ride: MuppetVision 3D
Number of times I've watched it: One

We went to MuppetVision because I like 3D, and my sister liked the Muppets. I think we were both satisfied.

MuppetVision 3D was a 15 minute movie of the Muppets trying to explain to you was their new creation is: MuppetVision! It uses polarization 3d to give you the illusion of depth. And they made the 3D pretty funny. Like they had people stuck in movies and theaters blowing up. It's also a 4-D attraction, in which they had air blowing in your faces and stuff. It is a perfect movie to see if you're a big fan of the Muppets.

Overall rating: 8/10

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror

Ride: Tower of Terror
Number of times I've ridden it: One

When we got in line for The Tower of Terror, my heart was pounding. I was nervous for this ride more than any other. But it wasn't that bad...

The Tower of Terror is a ride where you are the subject of an episode of "The Twilight Zone", which is a pretty cool theme. This elevator at the Hollywood Hotel had a history of sending 4 people to the twilight zone because lightning struck it. And so apparently when you get in the elevator, you go into the twilight zone by being dropped a couple 20 feet, going up some more feet, then dropping again. They also have a preshow talking about the story behind the elevator. With the classic host of "the Twilight Zone" in it, the movie just makes it seem more scary. Then you get into the elevator and ride around the hotel a little bit with the hosts words in the backround.(But my legs were shaking like crazy). It's pretty cool when you're riding around because you see a mirror in which you suddenly dissapear from it. It also has the ghosts of the 4 passengers that were in the preshow. Also, a room turns in to stars which is pretty cool as well. Then you drop. It's pretty simple. You drop, you get lifted up some, you drop again. The windows open so you can see how high you really are. Then the ride stops and you hear the narrator say he's favorite line: ""The next time you check into a deserted hotel on the dark side of Hollywood, make sure you know just what kind of vacancy you're filling or you may find yourself a permanent resident of...The Twilight Zone." I recommend this ride to people who like The Twilight Zone show, or like drop towers. I would not recommend this to people who do not like drop towers or heights, or do not want to be entered in to... The Twilight Zone.

Calfornia Adventure Attraction Reveiw: Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sully to the Rescue!

Ride: Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sully to the Rescue!
Number of times I've ridden it: One

"Mike & Sully to the Rescue!" was a ride we did because there was nothing else to do. Mostly because it had an extremely short line.

Mike & Sully to the Rescue is a ride that you're in a slow moving cab driving through the adventures that Mike & Sully had trying to cover up the fact that they have a human girl. It's not that much of an exciting ride, but it does have some pretty cool holograms and a pretty awesome room where you're in the room with all of the doors floating around you. I thought the ride was entertaining but not the best ride in the world. You should certainly do this ride if you're a fan of the movie "Monsters, Inc." because it's exactly like the movie. I liked how these rooms seem different than most of the Disneyland rides. For example, when Mike is knocking on the bathroom doors, the whole bathroom is closed to make it really feel like you're in a bathroom. \

iPads and 3D TV's

So today I went to Best Buy to demo their 3D TV. I also got a demo of an iPad, and a short demo of the newest flip camera and the newest MacBook. Here are my reviews.

1: The Samsung 3D Television.
It was pretty cool 3d, because it's much better than that red/blue 3d. It uses polarization and shutter glasses to give you that 3d effect. It was very realistic, and my brothers and my sister was trying to touch it. Without the glasses, it looks like a messical messy mess.
Good Things: 1. It's realistic. 2. You can see it from many angles. 3. It's a big screen, HD, LCD screen.
Bad Things: 1. You need big bulky glasses. 2. The glasses are battery powered. 3. IT'S FREAKING EXPENSIVE. IT'S LIKE 30000 DOLLARS! Sorry, I kind of got angry.
Final Rating: 8.5/10 Get it if you really want to see your favorite movies in 3d. I think it would be cheaper just too rip a DVD and convert it.

2. The iPad

The iPad is four iPod Touches glued together. Not really. It's more of a big iPod Touch. And it's very cool. I really liked the keyboard option. I've had experience with iPod Touches and iPhones, and their keyboards are tiny. Your typing a 5 page report like your texting someone. But the iPad is big so you can type on a normal sized keyboard! Awesome!
Good Things: 1. Life Sized Keyboard. 2.You can run iPhone and iPod Touch apps on it. 3. Much better for watching movies.
Bad Things: 1. It can do everything an iTouch can do. 2. It's bulky! Are we supposed to carry these in our pockets? 3. AGAIN, IT'S FREAKING EXPENSIVE. IT'S LIKE 600 DOLLARS! Sorry, I need to control my anger.
Final Rating: 7/10 Just get a iTouch. It's $400 less. Get an iPad if you don't have a compute

Mini Reviews!
The Newest Flip.
I only got a minute to play with the Flip, but I've got to tell you, I'm jealous. I've got a really old flip that can only record, delete, and play videos. The new flip can do that, except it has a touchscreen, it has more storage, and it has a wide screen display that slides like a phone that's meant for texting! GOSH!
Good Things: 1. It record HD video. 2. It has a touchscreen. 3. It has more storage than my old flip.
Bad Things: 1. I bet the sliding widescreen thing is easy to break. 2. You will be touching the screen. IT WILL SMUDGE! 3. AGAIN, IT'S FREAKING EXPENSIVE. IT'S LIKE 200 DOLLARS! Wait, that's not to bad. But it's more expensive than my flip.
Final Thoughts: 9/10 Not bad for an camcorder.

The New MacBook
I only played with GarageBand and Photo Booth because I knew one thing. IT WAS GOING TO BE JUST LIKE A OLD MACBOOK! Every one has been the same! The only difference is the weight! Goodness, Steve Jobs! Make on that could cook toast! Or maybe could shoot fireballs! Okay, maybe I'm giving Uncle Steve to much, but still! Make something different besides the weight!
Good Things: 1: It's lighter. 2. It's made by Apple. 3: It has Safari?
Bad Things: 1: Looks like an old MacBook. 2. Feels like an old MacBook. 3. It even smells like an MacBook!
Final Rating: 6/10 Find the cheapest MacBook you can find and buy that!

My next blog will be my 100th blog! And to celebrate, I will be releasing a new series! MOVIE REVIEWS! Episode 1: How To Train Your Dragon! YEAH!

The Carlsbad Caverns Vacation: Day 1: Arches National Park

Before I start, I want to apoligise for not doing a blog for a long time. Sorry. Here we go...

The plan was to do a vacation at Carlsbad Caverns with lots of cool places to stop on the way. So we packed up the car (and boy was it full) and headed off to Carlsbad Caverns. But the first stop we made on the way was Arches National Park.

Arches National Park in Moab, Utah is the only National Park in Utah that we would go to. We saw Delicate Arch, Balanced Rock, Double Arch, 2 Window Arches, and some that we saw as we were driving away from it. That National Park I will of a rating out of 10 is 7/10.

After that we went to our first campsite. It was a little bit away from Arches but it was one of my top 3 favorite campsites on the trip. Then we packed up after the night and went to our next place: Albuquerque!

2 new things happened to me

#1: Goodbye XP, Hello Vista!

Yesterday I got a new computer. The cool thing about it is that it has Vista downloaded on to it. Vista looks cooler than XP. It's so cool!

#2: Glasses

Today I got my eye exam. My sight was kinda blurry when I looked at the board at school and other things at home. And the docter told me I have to wear glasses! Cool huh!

Wow, 2 things that are cool. 1 for each day. I wonder what will happen tomorrow...

Wet Your Pants!

Me and my friend Duncan (same person with me who did Kung Fu Fighting and Viva la Vida the movie club version) made a new song. It's a big hit!(not) But it's a good song! Listin to it now!
